Writerly Things: Improper Words

Dear random writers (usually of bad sex scenes),

"Grinded" is not a word. The proper usage is "ground." As in: He ground his hips...

"Thrusted" is also not a word. The proper word is "thrust." Ex: She thrust her tongue... Not "thrusted."


Stop mutilating the English language, please.

Sadly, it doesn't seem to matter if the author uses the correct form given it shows up so often that it becomes annoying to read anymore.
